Welcome!
My name is Jennie. Wrapped up in Hope is my brainchild. The idea for this site and service stems from my own personal child loss. I have had 2 very rocky pregnancy experiences in which the first I developed severe preeclampsia and had to deliver my son 2 1/2 months early. He pulled through beautifully after a 6 week NICU stay and is a happy toddler now. I thank the Lord for him often! My second pregnancy didn't have such a happy ending. I lost my baby girl at 6 weeks because we found out later that I had a partial molar pregnancy.
In the hospital the day of my D&C the nurses gave me a bereavement packet. Hidden behind some grief counseling pamphlets was a tiny yellow receiving blanket square. That little blanket gave me so much comfort in the many grieving days after. I would lay it over my shoulder and across my chest. The smell and the feel of it was peaceful to me. I would go to sleep at night clutching my little blankie as though I were holding my baby. That blanket and God was what I clung to. I could not have gotten through that difficult time without the Lord and His endless comfort.
If you have experienced the loss of a child please know you are in my prayers! I understand how painful the separation from mother and child can be. Along with wanting to bring you all comfort in your grief with these blanket squares I also want to bring you hope. Hope for the light at the end of the tunnel and the reminder of our Great Comforter and how God can ease your suffering.
Grieving is such a long and difficult process but this helped me on my journey and I wanted to share it with all of you!
